March 10, 1913: Harriet Tubman Dies
“I was conductor of the Underground Railroad for eight years, and I can say what most conductors can’t say – I never ran my train off the track and I never lost a passenger.”  - Harriet Tubman  The underground railroad was a lifeline for slaves escaping to freedom, and Harriet Tubman was undoubtedly one of its most famous “conductors.”
